Neil MacKinnon
Neil MacKinnon has been building things with his hands for over three decades. His medium is chainmaille — one of the most technically demanding forms of metalwork, requiring patience, precision, and an almost meditative commitment to the process.
In 1999, he published The Grail Diary, a medieval goal-setting journal designed to help people uncover their purpose. The same drawings he made for that book became the patterns for his chainmaille designs — and the Grail Ware brand was born.
FORGED is the synthesis of everything Neil has built and learned since: the craft, the philosophy, the personal journey of donating a kidney to his brother, and the two-decade Grail Quest that runs through all of it.
